La Extremadura is an area of Spain.. kind of like a state. The trip was a part of the program, and we went to Merida, Caceres, and Trujillo. I'll highlight the trip: Merida= Roman ruins- amphitheatre, theater and acqueduct. Caceres=the hotel and lots of ruins. Trujillo=Medieval Festival! It was a great weekend.. and at the very end, I saw an octopus, which is always fun.
